Everything we work on, with the help of the horses, is based on connection with our authentic self. With the horse, we don't have to work on details that the mind continuously presents. Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning works at the big-picture level, and causes simultaneous leaps of growth at many levels of our being.
The moments of presence that we experience, restore and expand recognition of the sense of self, without gimmicks or years of on-going processing. Most clients sense a feeling of opening after contact with the field of resonance that the horses provide. The invitation is to open; to fully feel the nuances of the enormous creative power of who we truly are. The sanctuary of horse-time is a profound experience and not an ordinary concept that the mind can understand.
The Present Moment
Horses are masters of awareness. They are present with what is,
remaining whole and responsive in the moment. Immediate, "judgment-free"
feedback from the horse allows us to see ourselves in a new perspective.
A deep reservoir of presence, one's authentic being, is discovered to
draw from in our day-to-day lives.
The Code of Authentic Being
Through the compassion of the horse, we experience kindness
to ourselves, and things begin to feel right. Fear and confusion subside
as one's true self is recognized. The Code of Authentic Being is a teachable
skill and achievable goal. Innate knowing and confidence leads directly
to accessing inherent strengths, learning authentic engagement, developing
presence, and discovering self-resilience. The best qualities and attributes
that enrich our lives are effortlessly revealed through this wisdom.
Genuine Relationship
With the assistance of the horse, we become highly functional in our relationships.
When not influenced by the views of others, emotional safety is created,
and one's authentic being is easier to access. Horses are sensitive, intuitive,
social beings that gently illuminate our patterns of behavior and relationship.
Horse time allows the space of possibility, and wisdom is naturally discovered
through curiosity.
